Government cloud integration provides stronger footing in the Public Sector
CHICAGO – April 4, 2017 – SpringCM, a leading workflow and document management platform in the cloud, today announced it now integrates with the Salesforce Government Cloud, empowering government agencies to connect with their customers, partners and employees in entirely new ways.
The new integration, available on the AppExchange, enables a smooth process for public sector agencies that need to modernize inefficient, outdated document systems. SpringCM has a strong record of working with the public sector to drive productivity by bringing document-centric processes to the cloud with clients that include the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Government Cloud is an instance of Salesforce built specifically for government agencies. Because it is FedRAMP-compliant, it has enhanced security measures that align with federal regulations. With the new integration, SpringCM can offer its cloud-based document management platform to these important Salesforce customers.
“Companies are looking to transform the way they connect with customers, partners and employees to thrive in the age of the customer,” said Kori O’Brien, SVP, App Innovation Partner Sales, Salesforce. “By leveraging the power of the Salesforce platform, SpringCM provides customers with an exciting new way to modernize legacy government IT systems to better serve the needs of today’s digitally savvy citizens.”
“Over the past 12 months SpringCM has worked closely with Salesforce to enhance our platform in terms of security and compliance to adhere to the strict government standards, but without compromising the delivery of quality enterprise level functionality our customers are accustomed to,” said Antonis Papatsaras, Chief Technology Officer of SpringCM. “Furthermore, because the Salesforce Government Cloud is a separate instance built specifically for government agencies, we developed our software to create a tighter integration with Salesforce.”
Integrating with the Salesforce Government Cloud allows SpringCM to help public sector organizations optimize internal processes, stay compliant, and automate workflows, eliminating the bottlenecks that occur with traditional systems.
“With SpringCM’s document management platform, time to value can be measured in weeks instead of years, as is often the case with legacy systems found in many government agencies,” Papatsaras added.
Today, Federal agencies face many challenges in managing document-centric processes. Agencies must follow digital transformation trends to keep on top of their mission of serving the public, while managing old paper document processes. To that end, SpringCM’s cloud-based platform makes handling forms, correspondence, FOIA requests, grants, permits, contracts or any type of document process easier and more efficient. Agencies achieve efficiency by utilizing SpringCM’s workflow capabilities, consistency by automating tasks, and visibility when generating, redlining, tagging, sharing, finding and storing documents.
SpringCM is in a key position to meet the requirements needed to digitally transform the public sector, with the recent IT Modernization bill requiring government agencies to replace legacy IT systems and also providing $3.1 billion in funding. In addition, SpringCM is currently FedRAMP-in-process, with final approval expected in Q2 2017.
