Version 5.5 was designed to make SpringCM Document Management both more powerful and easier than ever to use. Most of the new enhanced features and intuitive controls were the direct result of input from our customers and partners.  Highlights of the new release include:

Document Rules

The Document Rules engine can now execute rules based on a preset schedule and enables the configuration of two new actions:

• Run a custom report and email the result to a user.
• Move a document to the Trash

Packaging

Version 5.5 contains enhancements to Packaging that make it easy to move complete solutions between SpringCM accounts. Improvements include:

• Replace existing components with new packaged components
• Multiple folder trees to a single package
• Packaging of Account Settings

Send Documents

Send Documents functionality has been redesigned for better usability and easier configuration:

• Intuitive menu options including a new option to Send a Fax
• Ability to Send multiple file types to different users simultaneously
• Indication of availability of PDF or TIF versions of documents

Manage and Relate Attributes

The usability and capabilities of the document metadata feature take a leap forward in SpringCM Version 5.5. Attribute groups and name templates are easier than ever to configure, and groups and relationships can now be created simultaneously.

Web Services

In reaction to a number of requests from both external and internal users of the Web Services interface SpringCM Version 5.5 offers the following changes to our APIs:

• Retrieve the current user’s account
• Retrieve the full path to an object
• List members of a group
