Batch Scanning devices offer tremendous breadth of functionality. Most can be configured to automatically create electronic documents based upon the length of the scanned document. For instance, each invoice may comprise only one page. A batch of 100 invoices could be inserted into the sheet feeder, and the MFP will automatically create 100 one-page documents. For random-length documents, the device can be configured to recognize document separators and to create a new document each time a separator page is encountered.

Because SpringCM offers functionality such as OCR, barcode reading and Zone OCR, purchasing additional (and often complex) software to perform these functions within the MFP environment is unnecessary.
