What’s the SpringCM Free VIP Edition?

SpringCM is offering a special Team Edition exclusively to Salesforce licensed users. This is a free edition of SpringCM we have branded VIP to differentiate it from paid editions for Business and Enterprise.

Is it really free? For how long?

It’s free. Really. It’s not a free trial (though we do offer those if you want to check out our Business or Enterprise Editions), it’s a free service. There is no expiration date, and there are no hidden fees.

Of course like other free cloud services, the lawyers make us say that we reserve the right to change the terms of the VIP Edition, but that’s because they’re lawyers.

But it’s only limited to a few of my salesforce.com users, right?

It’s limited to all your licensed salesforce.com users. All 3 of them or all 10,000 of them.

How do I qualify?

Just must maintain a current.com seat for salesforce.com Professional with API, Enterprise or Unlimited for the users that want to use the Salesforce VIP Edition.

Why is SpringCM providing a free VIP Edition?

In our market research we heard from lots and lots of salesforce.com administrators that their sales, marketing and service teams weren’t using content with their salesforce.com objects and processes because it just wasn’t as easy as they liked. Since we have great document management capabilities, but they’re only a small part of how we can help customers, we decided it was a great win/win for all of us.

Once you get your content organized and begin sharing, there's so much more you can do, so we know may customers will want to use features like approval workflows and managing sales contracts and proposals. And great enterprise security features like Single-Sign on, integration with SharePoint, and encryption at rest.

What about my users that are not salesforce.com licensed users in the organization? How can they get in on this?

How long does it take from when I start the installation to begin uploading content?

Figure about 30 minutes. A brand-new salesforce adminstrator logging on for the first time took 46 minutes, and the record so far is 17 minutes. If you’re faster than this, can you let us know?

Can I use the VIP Edition with custom objects?

Standard salesforce.com objects? Custom? One of both? No problem! The default configuration is to Accounts and Opportunities for Sales cloud, and Cases for Service cloud, but it’s easy to change to any other object.

What if I need more storage?

You can upgrade to:SpringCM Business Edition for $39 per user, per monthSpringCM Enterprise Edition for $59 per user,  per month

But storage is not all you get; there are lots of great capabilities to make your use of content easier and faster, such as approval workflow and SmartRules.  You can also connect content to any number of salesforce.com standard or custom objects.

Do I install in my salesforce.com Production or Sandbox environment?

We recommend the production environment because you can immediately realize significant benefits by putting your content to work. Customers love how fast it installs and the super-rich security. Because SpringCM works with content around your Account, Opportunity or Campaign objects, it does not interfere with your transaction data in any way.

If I want to upgrade to Business Edition, do all users have to upgrade to Business, or can just some?

All for one and one for all so all users need to upgrade to the same Edition, whether its Business or Enterprise

What if I decide not to continue with SpringCM?

While we find that hard to imagine, the good news is your content is your content. You can get back it at any time free of charge.

Do I get support?

Of course! Support requests are handled through the same service ticket system as all our other customers. Submission and ticket handling is a simple an easy process to follow the progress of your request.

Is my content be secure?
