SpringCM Government Services Division Achieves Record Growth

February 24, 2011 — Herndon, VA — Momentum fueled by the success of bid and proposal solution and federal focus on the cloud

SpringCM®, provider of the award-winning cloud enterprise content management platform, announced today that its Government Solutions Division (GSD) experienced significant growth in 2010, with bookings 90 percent higher than 2009.

A key factor contributing to this growth included an increase in the number of new customers by 40 percent, with new clients in the aerospace and defense, IT services, and government health services sectors. Leading government contracting organizations including UIC Technical Services (formerly known as Bowhead Technical and Professional Services), BTAS and USIS selected Privia® by SpringCM, to support their bid, capture and proposal management initiatives. Additionally, new and existing GSD customers are using SpringCM solutions beyond bid and proposal management. Several firms are extending SpringCM’s capabilities to effectively manage staff resumes and easily match talent resources to awarded bid work. Other clients utilize SpringCM to centralize past performance data, improve capture strategy planning, and to select the best combination of teaming partners to win a contract.

"Government contractors and public-sector organizations are increasingly viewing cloud content management as the best solution for their document management, collaboration and workflow needs,” said Christopher Junker, SpringCM CEO. “And moving content management to the cloud will help federal agencies accelerate many of the IT initiatives that Federal CIO Vivek Kundra and the General Services Administration are striving to achieve.”

The division has also added several public-sector organizations and agencies to its customer roster and added former FTC CIO Alan Proctor to the SpringCM GSD team. SpringCM is specifically focusing on the federal market and is involved in a number of initiatives such as Vivek Kundra’s Federal Cloud Computing Initiative (FCCI) and the innovative Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), which some observers believe will dramatically improve the performance of Federal IT.

SpringCM GSD relocated its offices from Sterling to a larger space in Herndon in late August to accommodate the rapid success of the division and to provide a more convenient location for agencies as well as government contractors to visit the cloud briefing center.
